Ron Robinson is handicaping for charity at Post Racing and giving away free horse race betting tips

Ron Robinson is handicapping for charity. There are so many tipsters out there it’s often difficult to know who to trust. When there’s an established tipster who gives away their handicap ratings away for free we had to give it a mention. It is quite unusual. Ron, a postman turn horse handicapper, runs a website called Post Racing. This is horse race tipping with a twist. No money changes hands for Ron’s tips they are free to all. The aim of Ron’s website is to raise one million pounds for charities that Ron supports.

Ron uses a his own ratings system and provides a rating for each horse in various UK races. Ron’s tips go against the crowd and his methodology concentrates on finding value bets; where the odds available on the selection do not reflect the true chance of the horse winning the race. Over the long term value bets like these should produce a positive return for punters.

Various media members have commented on Ron’s work, including Patrick Weaver of the Daily Express who said “Ron’s figures stack up and enable punters to make a profit out of the game.
I recommend their use and am always pleased when his top-rated horse is the one I have tipped for the race. We come at our selections from a different way, and I feel my tip has a stamp of approval if it is number one with Ron.”

A note on Ron’s system. Ron makes ratings of horses based on up to 11 factors, which are used to conjure up handicaps for the horses. In much the same way as a bookmaker.

So what goes into the mix?

Horses perform differently depending on the Jockey, the race course and ‘the going’ (the condition of the race track turf). Not forgetting Ron’s secret ingredient. The secret ingredient is the adjustments Ron makes to the system, which is based on years of fine tuning. The result is a system that does well.

The methods is similar to a bookmaker which effectively lays all the horses in a the field. What Ron does is to narrow down the number of selections and spreads the stake (which is called a Dutch). Regardless of which horse wins this secured a profit; one which beats the profit that a bookmaker produces due to the special selection of runners.

Ron provides tips for the days racing completely free of charge except Saturdays where a donation of 5 pounds is expected. A donation to the cause is also encouraged for Ron’s free tips. The charities supported by post racing include The Bob Champion Cancer Trust, Greatwood Caring for Retired Racehorses and Children with Special Needs, The IJF and Racing Welfare.

Of particular interest is Greatwood Caring for retired racehorses and children with special needs. Respite, support and rehabilitation is provided to vulnerable children by allowing interaction with rescued race horses. The idea came when a girl who had decided not to speak any longer was helped through the interaction with a rescued race horse. She started acting like a happy young girl after interaction with the rescued race horse. Eleven years after the Charity was founded it has gone from strength to strength. Find out more at about these free horse racing tips at Post Racing.

Disclosure. Lets Compare Bets has no commercial interest in writing about Post Racing. This post has been written because Ron’s ratings are unique because the come with the twist that’s its all being done for a good cause. Something you don’t normally get with horse racing tipsters.

Bonus bagging is a cheeky way of getting bookmaker bonuses for no risk to the punter. It’s legal and way to make money using online free bets and casino offers. Bookmakers like to offers punters an incentive to sign up to use their services. The beauty of bonus arbitrage is that online free bets are cashed out under the noses of the bookmakers, generating a series of risk free profits; The profits from online free bets can then be used to make more sports arbitrage bets. The process of bonus betting uses lay betting on the Betfair betting exchange to bag bonuses. Subsequently, betfair arbitrage against bookmaker odds is used to make more risk free bets.

Considerations of arbitrage betting online free bets

Free bet terms and conditions vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. The wagering requirements of one bookmaker can be completely different from another. Bookmaker A may only take bets at odds over a certain level for it’s free bet promotion another might want ten times the initial stake to be wagered before a bet is released.

This is one reason why free bet promotions can be slightly misleading. Bookmakers call these promotions free bets but that’s a clever marketing ploy. In fact, they can be far from free. Imagine having to wager 10x your initial deposit in order to cash out the free bet. That ain’t free.

Mike at BonnusBagging is a specialist at arbitrage betting. Using the bonus bagging procedure Mike uses free bets and bonuses offered by bookmakers and casinos to make £1000′s in risk free profit. There’s no need for long winded explanations here, Mike, has made a very easy to follow bonus bagging report. Bonus Baggers get life time email support and will receive a series of email instruction explaining the simple steps required to cash out online free bets for no risk.

For those who are not sure how this works here is a quick explanation. Step. Obtain a bonus. Mike researches all the terms and conditions and instructs which bonuses to start with. Money must be deposited into a bookmaker account to get the free bet. The first bet is placed at odds over evens: making a first bet from one’s own money is normally a requirement of the bookmaker’s promotion.

Here’s the clever bit. Mike does some clever back lay arbitrage using the bookmaker and the betting exchange Betfair to guarantee that the first bet does not lose. Once that’s out the way the free bets is there for the taking. The bookmakers have officially been plundered.

The first free bet arbitrage that was advised was using Betclic and Betfair. Betclic have a great online free bet with very relaxed terms and conditions. In so far as it can be cashed out very quickly. What’s more they have just . The advice was for Villarreal vs Getafe. A bet on Getafe was taken at Betclic at odds of 4.5 (7/2). As with all investments returns from betting tipsters and systems can go down as well as up and past performance is no guide to the future. If a systems is really successful it is either prohibitively expensive or reasonably priced but too many people end up using it. The odds consequently get negatively effected. The big football correct score betting experiment gets bigger… now it uses total goals

The Let’s Compare Bets big football correct score betting experiment on Betfair has been performing quite well recently. A previous edition of the correct score betting experiment mentioned a new technique would be tested. Rather than laying the 0-0 correct score result only, the total goals market was used as well. This post will delve into the reasoning behind the two strategies used for the correct score betting experiment. An update of the current results of the strategy will be posted later (video included). Visit the original correct score betting post to get more information about the nuts and bolts of this goal betting strategy. For all posts click on the goal betting tag or just type ‘experiment’ into the search box to the right. To get future posts about football betting subscribe to the news feed (a RSS reader is required).

Time for a confession, Let’s Compare Bets aren’t really running a proper experiment. Not by some standards at least. It’s not scientific but the researcher has come to be known as ‘The Professor’. That’s right, the correct score betting professor. He’s a little bit nutty too. With constant tinkering and research into how to improve results. The aim of the football correct score betting experiment is to build the betting bank and ‘scale up’. That’s to say bigger stakes and bigger profits :) .
A complete guide to football betting on the 2011/12 Premeirship season. Download this guide free courtesy of Secret Betting Club  There is something for everyone.  Including some great tips using research carried out on home / away team results.  It will open in the browser window (otherwise right click and select save as, then open once saved).

The correct score betting experiment is founded on a couple of basic ideas. First, that a good betting systems should be simple. Simple and easy. You could be fooled to think that you’re sitting around with a load of marketing guru’s thinking up ways of advertising a product. Although this isn’t a advertising ploy. This is an experiment and free for all to enjoy, and, it is in fact quite simple and easy. Let’s see how.

The correct score betting experiment relies on two facts. First, that premiership football is attacking in nature. Let’s face it, the clubs need to justify the massive sponsorship fees, don’t they? The styles of play associated with Premiership football produces goals and lots of them. Fact number two; although premiership football produces goals, games very rarely produce more than 6 goals.

So we know two things. Goals are very likely and but not too many of them. The correct score betting experiment relies on two strategies and uses the Betfair betting exchange.

1. laying the 0 – 0 goal result in the correct score betting market on Betfair.
2. laying the 7 or more goal result in the totals goals market on Betfair.

The original post explaining the nuts and bolts of this goal betting strategy explains how to choose high confidence games for laying the 0 – 0 goal result.

The second strategy did stress out ‘The Professor’ as first. An ill judged lay on a 5 or more goal results led to a loss that could have been prevented. However, with careful stake management and a good loss recovery system this is no bother.

Bet Angel betting software review

This post will review Bet Angel. The easiest way to get the other betting exchange software reviews is to subscribe to the Let’s Compare Bets blog by clicking the links top right. The review series will compare the advantages and disadvantages of various exchange trading software or betting bots.

Exchange betting software makes it easier to trade bets on the betting exchange due to a number of innovative tools. So what makes exchange trading software different? It’s the tools. The user interface and the price. These are the general areas that will be reviewed. In brief, the conclusion from the BetAngel review found that Bet Angel is good for people who are serious about getting into trading sports bets. For people who are not confident with trading on Betfair a better choice of exchange trading software is Bet Trader (link goes to the Bet Trader review).

Bet Angel was created by Peter Webb. Peter Webb is a very successful Betfair trader and is one of the only Betfair traders who has been invited (and had the Kahunas to accept) to trade for a live audience. Peter Webb did not actually develop the software himself but instructed a software company to do it for him. Betfair made the programming of Betfair.com open to developers. Soon after the other main betting exchanges followed, viz Betdaq et al. Peter Webb gave detailed instructions to developers to create tools with the trader in mind, so that it makes it as easy as possible to allow people to make profitable trades.

Trading softwareBet Angel offers a host of features that seasoned Betfair traders will absolutely love. However, for the uninitiated is could be a little daunting. Bet Angel is available in a free version to help newbies get used to the user interface and some of the basic features. The idea of Bet Angel basic is that user will get an understanding of the exciting opportunities to make regular profits on the betting exchange before upgrading to Bet Angel Professional.

Bet Angel offers two types of subscription; Bet Angel Basic and Bet Angel Professional. In fact, Bet Angel Professional also consists of two separate software applications which could be used as trading software in their own right. That’s Soccer Mystic and tennis trader. This post will review Bet Angel Basic and Bet Angel Professional, whereas Soccer Mystic and tennis trader will be review in it’s own right later.

Something that all the Bet Angel Software versions share in common is that they update with market data very quickly. A normal web browser updates once per minute. If betting software was that slow it would be a one way ticket to the poor house. Bet Angel refreshes more than once per second getting traders the market prices quickly.
